Updating Wi-Fi Networking on your Enphase System

To take advantage of this feature, you'll need to connect your mobile device to a wireless network created by the Envoy. To turn on this network, enable the Envoy's AP Mode (AP stands for "Access Point").

If the Envoy looks like this, briefly press the AP Mode button on the face of the Envoy-S. The LED will turn green, indicating that the Envoy-S is in AP Mode.

This functionality is not available on Envoys manufactured prior to the launch of the Envoy-S.

Once you’ve enabled AP mode on the Envoy, it begins to broadcast a wireless network that you can join. Go to your mobile device's Wi-Fi Settings screen and connect to the Envoy's wireless network. The name will include the last six digits of the Envoy serial number.

After you've confirmed that your mobile device is connected to the Envoy's wireless network, launch the MyEnlighten app. The app will display the Envoy's home screen.

Scroll down to the Monitoring section. If you see that the Envoy is not connected to Enlighten and want to use your home's Wi-Fi network for the connection, tap the Wi-Fi row.

You'll be prompted to enter the password for the Envoy, which is the last six digits of the Envoy's serial number. You can find the Envoy's 12-digit serial number either on the bottom or the back of the unit.

Next, tap the View Networks button, then select your home network from the list of available networks. Enter the password for your home network and tap the Connect button. The app will confirm that you've successfully connected to your home network and the monitoring section on your Envoy home screen will look like this:

Once you've established a successful connection, return to your mobile device's Wi-Fi settings and disconnect from the Envoy's network. This will allow your mobile device to reconnect to your home network and the Internet.

If the Envoy's connection to the Internet was down for some time, it may take a while before you begin to see all of the historical data displayed in MyEnlighten.
