Reconnecting your Envoy

Steps for reconnecting your Envoy via Ethernet bridges

Now that we've determined that your Envoy is connected to the internet via a pair of Ethernet bridges, let's reset your internet connection to get your Envoy back online and reporting to Enlighten.

Follow these steps to get your Envoy back online:

The power light should be lit for both bridges:

  1. Locate both Ethernet bridges. One will be near your Envoy and the other will be near your home's internet router.
  2. Verify that one bridge is connected to the Envoy and the other bridge is connected to your router using Ethernet cables.
  3. Unplug both Ethernet bridges from their respective power outlets.
  4. Cycle power on your Envoy by unplugging and replugging in the power cord. If your Envoy does not have a power cord, you will cycle power on the Envoy by flipping the Envoy’s circuit breaker open and then closed again.
  5. Wait 30 seconds and plug in both bridges again. (The bridges should be plugged in within two minutes of each other.)

Check if the connection was successful

Does the top LED on your Envoy, next to the cloud icon, light up continuous green light, like the image below?

If the top LED lights up continuous green light: Congratulations! You're back online. Your system now needs to re-sync, which can take anywhere from an hour to a few days depending on how long your system was offline. Continue on to the final step: what to expect when your Envoy is reconnected to the Internet.

What to do if the connection was not successful

If either the power or LAN lights are not lit, double-check all connections. If no changes are observed, the bridges have likely failed. Please contact Enphase Customer Support for assistance.
