Rapid Shutdown Switch now required for installations with IQ System Controller 2.

If you are installing an Enphase Energy System with IQ8 Microinverters and an IQ System Controller 2, a Rapid Shutdown Switch (RSD) is required. For these installations, it is extremely important to read this field bulletin outlining specific ordering for the wiring of the RSD during installation. Failure to follow the steps outlined can result in a product failure and project delays.

New IQ Gateway software release and release notes.

For homeowners who want to create custom home automation systems, we’ve released new IQ Gateway software to support this in a secure way with tokens. Read more in our recent release notes or check out this tech brief for details.

Starting in August, training will be required for all backup configurations.

Effective August 1 2022, training and certification will be mandatory for all backup configurations (Sunlight Backup, Home Essentials Backup, and Full Energy Independence)—for every individual installer professional. We have published a one-page overview listing the certification requirements by product, including direct links to corresponding Enphase University courses, certifications, and webinar trainings.

IQ8 Microinverters are ready for IEEE 1547-2018.

The Enphase IQ8 Microinverter is the first in the world to be certified to UL 1741 SB. This certification meets the new North American safety and grid interconnection standards in compliance with IEEE 1547-2018. We have published a Compliance Update page to educate installers on the requirements and timing around IEEE 1547-2018. Timing varies by state so please visit this page often.

Sometimes smaller is better.

The new Current Transformer makes it easier to install in electrical panels, but it is still rated to 100A. The new CT is built with a nickel core increasing the reliability of the product. This product is ready for ordering.

Ceiba Renewables aims to bring high quality solar power to more homes in Scotland. Since 2012 they have been installing Enphase on many residents and recently have done a challenging resident with limited space and shading.

Eerste Nederlands / Belgische EIN event in Hilversum.

Op donderdag 7 april vond het eerste EIN partner event plaats in het Instituut voor Beeld en Geluid in Hilversum voor de Belgische en Nederlandse EIN partners. We hebben veel enthousiaste reacties mogen ontvangen van onze partners, met name vond men het prettig om meer inzage te krijgen on de nieuwe producten die op de roadmap staan en de visie van Enphase op de Nederlandse solarmarkt.

Enphase IQ Batterij nu compatibel met alle zonnepaneel installalaties met string omvormers in Bëlgië.

Christophe Coolen, Operationeel Directeur van Alfasun hierover: 'Wij zijn verheugd dat de Enphase ingenieurs de combinatie van de IQ Batterij met string omvormers hebben goedgekeurd. Dit is een belangrijke stap om een significant solar merk in België te worden".

Enphase ESG rapport.

Met trots presenteren wij ons ESG (Environmental, Social, en Governance) rapport 2021. Hierin bespreken we onze continue inspanningen om ons bedrijfsdoel te realiseren, namelijk het bevorderen van een duurzame toekomst voor iedereen. Sinds de publicatie van ons eerste ESG-rapport in 2020 hebben we vooruitgang geboekt in het meten van onze CO2 voetafdruk, het stimuleren van een diverse en inclusieve werkplek en het vergroten van het bewustzijn van ESG-kwesties in de hele organisatie.

Terugblik op Intersolar 2022.

Intersolar in Munchen was dit jaar wederom een groot succes voor Enphase. We kijken terug op drie geweldige dagen waarin we heel veel mensen hebben mogen verwelkomen op onze stand. De vraag naar eenvoudig te installeren en schaalbare oplossingen groeit en Enphase micro-omvormers bieden een betrouwbare en duurzame invulling aan deze behoefte. Daarnaast zorgde de recente gas en energiesituatie in Duitsland (en Europa) voor een run op de producten van Enphase.

IQ Batterijen sterk in opkomst in België.

Sinds de introductie van de IQ Batterij in België is de vraag alleen maar toegenomen naar de handige thuisbatterij van Enphase. Alleen al in Vlaanderen is het aantal woningen met thuisbatterijen explosief gegroeid van 300 in 2020 tot 19.500 in 2021, met name gedreven door het afschaffen van de ‘salderingsregeling, in België. Platinum installateurs DevaPower en KL Elektro zijn Enphase IQ Batterij installateurs van het eerste uur. Zij deelden hun installatie ervaringen (en foto’s) op het Enphase EIN event in Hilversum aan hun Nederlandse collega’s.

Enphase microinverters exempt from many AS5033:2021 DC system requirements.

The new DC requirements in AS/NZS5033:2021 are placing installers under increased compliance pressure when installing string systems. In contrast, Enphase microinverters are exempt from most new regulations due to their safe AC architecture. As a result, more and more Australian solar installers are exclusively leveraging Enphase technology to help insulate their businesses and customers from electrical risk and future regulatory changes.

Solar Concept, één van onze gouden installateurs, heeft daar een hele transparante werkwijze voor. Met al ruim 24.000 installaties hebben zij meer 250.000 zonnepanelen geplaatst. Markt ontwikkelingen / juni 2022.

De terugverdientijd van zonnepanelen blijft voor consumenten ook bij de afbouw van de salderingsregeling minder dan 7 jaar. Dat blijkt uit nieuw onderzoek van de Nederlandse organisatie voor Toegepast Natuurwetenschappelijk Onderzoek (TNO) naar de gevolgen van het afbouwen van het salderen. Het onderliggende rapport en het rekenmodel zijn nu op verzoek van minister Jetten voor Klimaat en Energie geactualiseerd
