How can I tell which of my systems need maintenance?

Review the ways Enlighten allows you to check on how the components of your system are performing

Enlighten helps you determine which systems need maintenance by identifying each system with one of the following statuses:

  • Normal ()  – The system is producing as expected.
  • Production Issue () – Enlighten declares a Production Issue system status when one of the following occurs:
  • Microinverters Not Reporting ()  – Enlighten declares a Microinverters Not Reporting system status when multiple microinverters stop communicating for a period of three days (72 hours). • Meter Issue () - Enlighten declares a Meter Issue system status when it detects a possible problem with the CT or storage measurements. In general, a Meter Issue indicates a system where on-site maintenance may be required. Get help with troubleshooting a Meter Issue status.
  • Storage Inactive (Setting Icon) – Enlighten declares a Storage Inactive system status when the state of charge of an AC Battery has not changed for a period of three days (72 hours). On the Systems List, you can apply the filter under the Status column to display systems with a particular status, or to display systems with any issue (all systems with a not Normal status).

If you also want to view the number of issues a system is experiencing, you can add the Issues column to the Systems List.

You can also view system status from the Maintenance Alerts widget on the Enlighten Dashboard.

If you don’t already see the widget on the Dashboard, click the Add a Widget button, scroll down to Maintenance Alerts, and select Add to Dashboard.

By default, only systems with a Production Issue display in the widget. Click the gear icon to open the widget settings panel and change this configuration.
