Reconnecting your Envoy

Check if your Envoy is operational

If you have not been able to re-establish an internet connection for your Envoy using Ethernet bridges or an Ethernet to Wi-Fi adapter, let's check to make sure your Envoy is operational. You will need an Ethernet cable that's connected to your home's internet router for this process.

Follow these steps to make sure your Envoy is operational:

  1. Detach the Ethernet bridge or Wi-Fi adapter from the Envoy
  2. Unplug your Envoy
  3. Put the Envoy near an electrical outlet that's near your Internet router, but don't plug it in yet
  4. Connect an Ethernet cable directly to your home's Internet router; then connect the Ethernet cable to your Envoy
  5. Now plug your Envoy into the electrical outlet

Check if the connection was successful

Within five minutes, does the Envoy LCD screen display +Web?

If the screen displays +Web: Congratulations! This means your Envoy is operational. Your connection issues are due to your Ethernet bridges or Ethernet to Wi-Fi adapter. You will need new Ethernet bridges or a new Ethernet to Wi-Fi adapter, which you can purchase from most DIY outlets.

Once you purchase the new hardware and are ready to set up your Envoy, be sure to move your Envoy back to its original location as installed by your solar professional, as the Envoy needs to be located where it can best communicate with your system's microinverters.

What to do if the connection was not successful?

If after completing steps 1 through 5 above, you still do not see +Web on your Envoy's LCD screen, please contact Enphase Customer Support for assistance.
